with the cap rising? doubt it. Depends on what $ and term Kadri gets. Kessel and Phaneuf'll be asking for 6.5+ though

If he's holding out for $4.5M they'll move him. No one should pay him that and with the Leafs' depth of 2nd line d-men it might be best to recoup some assets.

I agree but there inst much out there to trade for that would make the leafs better.

Trading Franson would be a mistake, but he does have a reputation for being greedy if you ask me...........might be a little selfish that way. If so, get rid of him.

You do realize the cap should go up enormously next season?

Could you imagine how solid the Preds D core would be if they didn't give away Franson for absolutely nothing? Still to this day have no idea what that trade was about.

Makes zero sense for the Leafs who would be moving their two best defenders for a redundant piece in Petry, Hemsky who no one wants and future pick that doesn't help a team trying to make the playoffs.
